Approvals for writes

Turn on approvals for an app and its writes wait for you instead of running.

  1. Switch it on. On the connector's Apps tab, open the app and switch on Require approval for writes.
  2. Your assistant asks. When it calls a write tool on that app, nothing runs. It gets back "Queued for approval" with a plain-language summary of what it wanted to do.
  3. You decide. The request waits under Approvals with its summary and the exact arguments. Approve to run it once and see the result, or reject it.

Requests nobody answers expire after 48 hours. The stored arguments are deleted as soon as a request is approved, rejected or expires.

Read-only apps

To stop an app from writing at all, make it read-only on the Apps tab. Its write tools then answer that they are read-only on this connector, without queuing anything.
