getting started
Your first connector in five minutes
A connector bundles every tool one client needs behind a single endpoint URL. This guide takes you from a fresh account to your assistant working with a client's tools.
- Create a connector and name it after your client. One connector per client keeps tools, memory and settings cleanly separated.
- Add apps from the catalog. Klaviyo, Microsoft Clarity and ShipStation connect with an API key from the app's own settings. Credentials are stored encrypted, scoped to that connector.
- Copy the endpoint and paste it into your assistant's connector settings once. Every app you add later flows through automatically. The full address is shown only once, so copy it when it appears.

Works in Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini, Cursor and any client that speaks MCP (the open Model Context Protocol, which you rarely need to think about).
Where to paste it in Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL and save. Other assistants have an equivalent "custom connector" or "MCP server" field in their settings. See Add it to your assistant.
What's next
Switch off tools you don't need (Footprint shows what each costs), turn on approvals for anything that writes. Turn on memory so your assistant can keep durable facts about the client: every fact stays editable, and a changed fact supersedes the old one instead of overwriting it.
